Bookamania- it was exciting and crazy being in a library with so many people everywhere. We had fun. It was an easy set but hard getting to and from. Steve lost our parking ticket so we had to pay full price in a downtown Chgo. parking garage. Boo hoo
Had to cancel this event due to medical problems. Referred it to the group Picante. I heard they did great. (as always- they're awesome)
Great Crowd! It was being televised for cable access. I did an interview which came out ok. Talking always makes me more nervous than singing! My kids, husband, and mother-in-law went along so that was special. My daughter was terrified of a Dora look-a-like. That was not too fun, but over all I had a good time. Geraldo was on his game and always is fun to play with.
Under family tent located on the Northwest part of the lawn
This was an interesting event. Set apart from the lawn there was an area for kids to play instruments and listen to me. Kinda hard to do at the same time. Even though it was fun and unlike any other gig I've done.

So much fun. Nice people, nice hotel, a little bit of a scary airplane ride, and super cool to be a part of. The complimentary bottle of wine waiting for me in the hotel was a nice bonus. My friend Karen O. went with me to keep me company. We had a great Sushi dinner I just wish we could have stayed longer!
Come see the Coro De Las Americas in their Holiday Concert. Although I have not been teaching this fantasic group lately I plan on supporting them on guitar. Hope to see you there.

Underground parking is available directly beneath the park in three garages. The Grant Park North Underground garage is accessible directly from Michigan Avenue at Randolph and Madison streets. The Millennium Park Garage is accessible from Columbus Drive between Randolph and Monroe Streets. The Monroe Street Garage is also accessible from Columbus Drive between Randolph and Monroe Streets. Direct pedestrian access is located at many points around the entire park. The underground pedway system, which connects to the CTA and Metra, has been extended from Michigan Avenue to the lower level of Randolph Street.
This was a HOT event!! And I mean HOT as in temperature. I started to wonder why in the world I would gig outside in these conditions pregnant. Not too smart, but it was Millennium Park. What we will do for a gig. When we arrived the symphony was practicing in air condition right behind us shielded from the heat by class doors. They could see us and we could see them and they definitely had the better end of the deal. All in all it was fun and one of those events that we will remember for living through it.

My students did a fantastic job!!!! I was so proud of them. They really delivered. My most nervous moment was when the Samba Percussion kids played. For the first time, they nailed it. I was so happy. All the teachers did a great job preparing the students and making costums. I Couldn't ask for a better show.
This was a fun gig!! Everyone was so nice and really appreciated us being there. In fact, some of the schools staff joined us for "La Bamba" and one actually played the bongos for us during our second set. Love those kind of gigs.

This was an adventure! We planned way too much time to get there on a no traffic day, but better early than late. It was a very nice audience. The kids were alittle shy, but got going towards the middle. We sounded great and had lots of fun!

Nice crowd and lots of fun. Shana and I really enjoyed singing for the many families in attandance. We are still learning how to use our new sound system, but overall it work out well. Just some minor tweaks!
